The End of an Era: A Heartfelt Farewell

It’s with heavy hearts that we announce the closure of Podcrash Play. Starting today, all downloads of the client will be removed, and on December 1st, we will be saying a final goodbye as our servers shut down permanently.

Since its early days as Podcrash+, Podcrash Play has been an anchor in the competitive Minecraft community for the past seven years. What began as a shared love for gaming quickly grew into a vibrant community full of dedicated players. Many of us were teenagers when we started, driven by our love for Minecraft and the thrill of competition. Alongside fierce rivalries and intense matches, we formed friendships that have truly stood the test of time.

For countless players, we were more than just a gaming platform. During the challenging years of the COVID-19 pandemic, Podcrash Play became a refuge—a place to connect, escape, and remember that even in isolation, we were never truly alone. Together, we kept the spirit of connection alive when it was needed most.

Play was initially created as a tool to enhance fair play, reducing cheating in games on Mineplex and Hypixel. We could never have anticipated the impact it would have or how deeply people would come to cherish it. To every one of you who logged in, connected with friends, and built memories with us, we are profoundly grateful. Being a part of your lives has been a privilege we hold dear.

To the leagues

From MSCL to BCL, CVC, CWCL, CCL, and so many more—through every win, every challenge, and every unforgettable moment—you were the heart of what made Podcrash Play special. You fueled our growth, gave us purpose, and inspired us every step of the way. You celebrated our victories, stood by us through challenges, and pushed the boundaries of what our community could achieve. Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for being with us.

You will forever have my deepest gratitude and respect,

Callum
